If you follow my blog, keep up with me on Instagram, or are an existing friend/client, you know that 2015 has been a huge year of change for me! Back in December, the hubby and I announced the very exciting news that we’re expecting our first little babe. Of course with the birth of this little guy, life will also be changing! How so you ask? Most seasons I gladly jam-pack my weekends with shoots galore, but with the new babe coming I am making it a priority to only work one day per weekend so I can have at least one full day a week where Jake, me, Brick, and the new dude can be together as a family!
The tricky part is that, while I’ve so so overly excited and humbled by how many brides and grooms have entrusted in me for their weddings this year, my weekends are full starting mid-July when I return from maternity leave through early November. That’s a lot of weddings – so thank you to all my JMP couples <3 But for my JMP families, this means I have limited availability to capture your beautiful families this year! I love all of you and have loved watching your families grow and want to do everything I can to ensure that I can continue watching them grow!
As a way to still ensure that I still get to capture your beautiful families, I will be changing my schedule up a bit. As I mentioned above, my weekends are pretty much maxed out (though I still have one or two openings in November and one in December). For the months of August, September, and parts of October, I will be doing a limited number of family sessions or lifestyle portrait sessions during the week after 5pm (or later depending on what time sunset is). I am also going to try to squeeze in mini sessions this September or October on a weekend day to accommodate everyone who can’t make a week day work!
So what does this mean for anyone wanting a session this year? It means that if you want to get in a session in 2015, it’ll be incredibly important to book now. No seriously, book now! I’m already booked full until August!
I cannot begin to thank you all enough for always being there for me, supporting me and my passion, helping me grow, and now for being so understanding as I go through the new change of adjusting to a new family! Things may change in the future as for my availability, but for now this is the plan for the rest of the year <3 Much love to you all <3
