Guys, how is my little babe 8 months old? For real. Months are passing faster and faster. People have already started asking me what we’re doing for his 1st birthday. Shut your mouths, there’s no way he’s even closing to turning 1!

Baby // This past month was the month of exploring his mouth and all the cool sounds he can make! Every few days he learned something new, then would practice it over and over. It’s pretty adorable to watch him learning! He’s still trying to get the hang of crawling. You can tell sometimes that he really wants to, but for now he feels content with rolling all over our place and scooting on his butt. He continues to develop the sweetest relationship with Brick. She LOVES to “eat” his toes and is always playing with him. They’re so adorable together, I just can’t wait to see how close they are as they grow older together! The babe has also decided that when he teeths, that he just wants to get all the teeth in at once. Last month, he had 4 teeth come in at once (whole bottom row) right before Christmas. Then in the past couple weeks, he’s had 3 of his top teeth come in… all at once. I feel bad he’s in pain, but it’s sweet that he wants to snuggle with us more. Makes us realize the power of being his parents and our ability to soothe him! He loves to say “mama” but only says it when he’s SUPER upset… like if I put him down for 2 seconds before feeding him to grab something. Not happy. Otherwise, he’s as happy as ever. Seems to love life. We love him. Life is grand!

Momma // I guess I summed it up above, but I’ve absolutely loved watching the bond he’s been making with Brick. How he watches her every move. He wants to see where she’s walking. He laughs at her, loves to lay on her, grabs her ears. It’s pretty sweet. And the biggest thing this past month was me realizing the power of being his mommy. Being able to soothe him, to make his tears go away, it’s the best. I absolutely love getting him out of his crib in the morning. He gives me the biggest smile and I tell him how much I missed him. I just need time to slow down a little. He’s getting way to close to 1 year!!
