For real, time please slow down. How is this little dude 7 months old?! It makes me teary thinking we’re now closer to his 1st birthday than the day he was born. Little bud, make time go slower <3

Baby // Whoa what a month!! We celebrated our first Christmas as a family, and man was it awesome!! The little dude did come down with a sickness that brought us to the ER at 2am on Christmas Eve morning. Luckily just a fever and a bad cold. A week and a half later, and it was gone! Christmas was the best! I’ve never seen a more alert 6.5 month old at Christmas. While yes he was teething (his entire bottom row is now in – 4 teeth total) and yes he was sick, but the kid wanted to unwrap his presents. Every single toy he was obsessed with. He studies things like no other now. He is so curious, and I love it! Christmas Day… with a sick and teething baby, we took him on his first plane ride. Talk about stress – back and forth… should we go, should we stay, what to do, omg! We were terrified that he’d scream the entire flight. But he was silent and sleeping the ENTIRE time, including a full hour delay from taking off! He loved going to San Diego and seeing the ocean and the zoo and Jake’s side of the family. It was so fun! And on the way home? Awake for half of the flight and not a peep :) Thank yooooou, little buddy!! The little cutie has learned how to wave and shakes his head in the yes and no directions. It’s kind of adorable! He’s still full of smiles non-stop.

Momma // I absolutely looooved Christmas with him. Yes I was a little scared when he was sick. He had a high fever and it was the first sickness. But we got through it like champs! I loved seeing him explore on Christmas. Seeing the new toys. Curious about what everything does. Super happy through everything. We loved showing him the ocean – something that’s super important to both me and Jake. It’s felt great to be home, though!! Now during the day, he’ll sit on the ground with all his toys around him, bouncing from one toy to the next. Laughing at himself :) It’s the best!
