In total amazement. 10 months in, here’s what’s happening <3
Baby // Mobile is the word that describes last month. This kid does NOT want to sit still. Ever. Last month, he discovered that he could stand along the couch. And now? Any opportunity he has, he’s pulling himself up on the couch or anything around to walk. And he walks FAST! He loves his walking toys and will walk all around the house on them! I swear, he’s going to be walking in the next couple weeks. He’s been saying “mama” on repeat too, and I’m happy to report that it’s in the sweetest voice unlike the crying “mama” I used to get! He continues his love for mangoes and has now added Hawaiian bread to the mix. Obsessed. Like he ate 4 rolls in one day kinda obsessed. He thinks feeding Brick his food is pretty hilarious. Brick clearly has realized her wish for a little brother has totally paid off now #fatpuppy. And when he gets super excited? He started making this silly face. I’ve coined it the “Stinky Elvis” face. Imagine Elvis with the lip. Then make an “ooooo dang that smells bad” face. That is the “Stinky Elvis” and it cracks me up every time!
Momma // As I sit here flipping through his past months, I’m absolutely amazed at how fast time has flown! It’s funny. Being a parent, you have these mixed emotions. You are so excited to see him learn new things. To learn to walk. To talk. To get older. To see him grow into a little man. But at the same time, there’s a huge part of you that’s so sad that your baby is growing. You find yourself praying that he grows slower. You so badly want to keep him little for a little longer. To be able to live in the moment with him. And spend more time with him. But pausing life isn’t an option! Having him has put a whole new meaning to “live in the moment.” I find myself trying to limit my time on my phone when he’s awake. I’d much rather watch his cute little baby body learning new things than seeing what’s new on my newsfeed with people that I hardly know #realtalk. So here I am. Sitting and feeling so blessed for having the most beautiful and amazing baby boy. And so excited to see him learning all his new tricks. Holding back tears realizing I seriously have to start planning his first birthday #babiesdontkeep
Special thanks to Sandy for the sweet Chicago onesie <3
