I am make-up OBSESSED! My idea of a perfect day is going to Sephora and just playing around forever! Poor Jake, when I tell him I just need to quickly stop in Sephora… he knows what “quickly” really means.

Ladies have been asking about what brands and styles and colors I wear forever, so here it is! My fave brands and styles for a super quick (less then 3 minute) effortless every day look…

Beauty Board

1. BB cream // Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm – Creme Glow. I hate the feeling or look of caked on make-up. In the summertime, I tend to go without this but on days where you feel you need a little bit of extra coverage and/or have a night out, this is amazing! Not only do the colors match awesome to your skin, but it’s super moisturizing and has SPF 20. A little goes a long way!

2. Powder // Josie Maran Argon Matchmaker Powder – Light/Medium. This people, I love. I use this every day, sometimes by itself, to just give a nice light evening out of my skin. It’s a matching powder, meaning it blends perfectly into your natural skin tone. I’ve used it when I’m a big lighter in the winter and when I’m super tan in the summer – matches to everything! As with the BB cream, I really love light coverage so this is a great option that provides coverage but still allows your natural beauty (i.e. freckles) to shine through! Depending on your preference of coverage, you can always buy different brush types to help it go on lighter or heavier :) This was originally a recommendation from a make-up artist I know in Portland!

3. Blush // Nars – Amour. This is a peachy-pink shade that works so well with my skin tone! Blush is big for me, a staple every day. In the summertime when I don’t wear powder or tinted moisturizer, I always make sure to leave the house with blush on! Everyone has different stances on blush, but I just love how it awakes your face effortlessly and gives that oh-so-fresh look! So far, this color has worked perfectly in the summertime and even in the winter when my overall color gets a little lighter. A secret application trick to look even more awake? I brush on my cheeks then just a touch on my eyes (rather than using eyeshadow). People always compliment me on it!

4. Brushes // Sigma F82 Kabuki + Sigma F10 Blush. I just love these brushes! I was originally recommended them by a make-up artist I know in Portland. They’re so soft and make my make-up go on 10x better. The Kabuki brush is best if you want more coverage because it packs in the powder. As a rule, the looser the bristle the lighter the coverage! I also have the Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove that’s so awesome for cleaning brushes! To see my full rundown of these brushes, check out my previous OBSESSION OF THE WEEK post on the Sigma line!

5. Mascara // Benefit They’re Real Mascara. Normally I use Sephora’s Outrageous Volume Mascara, but I recently made the switch to Benefit’s and am in LOVE! To be clear, Sephora’s Outrageous Volume Mascara is still awesome BUT I hated how it sometimes made my lashes a bit clumpy. With Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara, the stuff goes on like a dream. It provides tons of gorgeous length and beautiful volume without making your lashes clump up. Everyone literally asks if they’re my real lashes. It’s a little expensive but totally worth it!

6. Lips // Revlon Colorburst Lip Balm – Striking. While my brand and color varies by day (stay tuned for a future blog post that reveals all my faves), this one has been my go-to for the past 2+ years. I get sooo many compliments on this shade, which I think is the perfect bright shade of red! Literally from people on the street to my Starbucks barista at O’Hare, everyone compliments me on this shade! I normally use stain and/or long wearing styles, which this one is not, but this one stays on pretty well! I normally touch it up 1-2 times a day, so nothing crazy!

7. Finishing Mist // Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray. This is new to my line-up. Normally I wouldn’t use something like this – since most everything above stays on all day long with no problem – but this is for a little added security to keep you looking fresh without having to reapply all day! I use this primarily on days when I know I’ll be gone all day or days that are a little warmer and I don’t want to sweat off the make-up :)
