Bridal sessions are seriously amazing guys! Leading up to Liz + John’s wedding last August at the Ivy Room, we knew the timeline would be tight leaving us little time to take portraits. Knowing they also had tons of family coming in from far away, they decided that they’d like to do a bridal session another day after the wedding allowing them to be able to spend time with their loved ones.

A little over a month after their wedding was over and they had returned from their magical honeymoon, we met back up downtown. I was so excited to see them again, but on a much more relaxed day! Her dress was just as beautiful as I remembered. And his tux was on point.

We spent a beautiful late summer afternoon walking along the Chicago riverwalk and then heading to the Art Institute of Chicago’s gardens. My favorite part of the day, of course other than seeing these two beautiful souls, was walking around the city on a Wednesday evening and seeing everyone look and yell to them…surprised to see a bride and groom on a weekday!

When a boat full of older men passes, and hollering at the pretty lady ;)
