I met Kelly + Noel long ago. You see, Kelly worked with my hubby, Jake. I would always hear about this crazy girl he works with. Well one day, she insisted that she finally meet me. And so to Yolk we went for a brunch date! And guys, was it the best idea ever! I loved Kelly’s quirkiness and sarcastic humor, much like mine. We hung out again shortly after and I became addicted to them. They’re one of the realest, most genuine, nicest, sweetest, most loving couple I’ve met!
Fast forward a year or so, they call us up to ask if we want to get lunch. Um, yes please! As we sit down to lunch, we find out that Noel popped the question… and so planning began :)
And then the worst thing ever happened. They asked us over. And there, right then, they broke the news we never wanted to hear. They were moving. Not just to Lincoln Park or Lakeview, not even to the suburbs, but all the way to San Antonio…TEXAS! Hearts broke for days.
While I miss seeing them as much, I was so honored that they asked me to capture their day. They got married Labor Day weekend in an intimate ceremony in Kelly’s parents’ backyard in Michigan. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they exchanged their vows written from the heart. As they were announced husband and wife, pure joy crossed their faces as they turned down the aisle to begin their new life together!
It’s one of the most amazing things, when you meet a couple like this. A love that’s so true that you believe in with all your heart. And with souls so genuine. And devoted. I am so excited for these two and can’t wait for their hopeful return to the midwest <3 Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Dominguez <3 <3 <3
