Holy cow baby, I can’t believe you’re 5 whole months old! It feels like yesterday you turned 3 months old. Where is time going?? More updates and a cute monthly pic below to make you get baby fever <3

Baby // He is seriously turning into a little gentleman. A true little babe. When I look at last month compared to this month, he just looks like he’s matured so much. Maybe it’s that he has hat hair and it’s laying down? Or maybe it’s that he’s chunked up in the last month? Regardless, the kid is growing too fast for my eyes. This month, he’s learning to sit on his own. Like most all babies, he’s learning the world around him by putting everything in his mouth! His favorite thing is to put his hands in mommy’s mouth. He thinks it’s the funniest when I eat them! He also thinks blowing raspberries are funny, which let’s be serious… they are funny. And adorable. He’s also mocking us more. He watches Jake drink something, then will pull the cup towards his mouth and put his own mouth on the rim just like daddy did. AND if you can’t tell, the kid is growing like crazy. He’s been having growth spurts a bit more often – every few weeks.

Momma // My heart is so overjoyed to be his momma. Everything he does warms my heart and makes me feel like I have some purpose and meaning. On days when he’s going through growth spurts, he just wants to be held by momma (or daddy). If I lay him down for a second when he’s mad, he’ll cry and give me these sweet eyes telling me “Momma, I need you. Please hold me. Make it better.” I totally melt. This month is the first time where I feel like he’s looked to me out of need. I feel that connection with him that he doesn’t just need me to grow big and strong, but he now wants mommy and daddy for comfort (not just anyone who will hold him). Something about it makes me feel special <3 I continuously thank my lucky stars every morning I wake up and don’t have to leave him. I’m blessed to be able to be with him and help him learn each day. I love him more than words can ever begin to describe.
