Last weekend, while the city of Chicago was dying her river green and celebrating St. Patrick’s day, these two lovebirds met each other at the end of the aisle to say “I do!”
The day started at the Hyatt downtown, just blocks from the madness of the river dying! While it was calm inside Amber’s hotel suite, you could see the excitement building. As each minute passed, the excitement grew! After waiting almost 8 years, the day was finally here! I just love the moment when a bride gets into her dress, but this time as a true bride on her wedding day. The feeling is indescribable. The emotions, the vibes in the room. It’s something truly beautiful! Amber’s Stella York dress transformed her from a beautiful woman to such a beautiful and blushing bride!
When we arrived at Olive Park for their first look, I saw Matt patiently waiting to meet his bride. He looked dashing in his blue suit! Seeing them see each other for the first time was so sweet. And so began their wedding day! Everything about this day was perfection! The weather a rare 60 degrees in March (hello heat wave, Chicago!). Excitement was in the air. And their list of vendors was something I could only hope for! The makeup by Angela Cutty? The stunning flowers from Flowers for Dreams? Everything was perfection! I feel so honored to have been a part of their day, to stand beside them as they shared their sweet vows, entering into life together as one! I’m just so happy for these two! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Konow!!
